Siblings are more than welcome to attend and pay standard admission to play for the duration of the party if you do not wish to include them as part of your party.

Yes, providing the initial $50 deposit is paid at the time of booking and the final balance is paid on the day of the party.

We have allocated party bays which have full access to the playground in close proximity. Our party bays comfortably seat up to 14 children around a large table. Adult seating with tables for tea & coffee is also provided in the party bay as well as a separate table for you to store gifts and other items.

If you are unable to download or print our invites, we can provide you with invites which are available to be collected from our counter.

Yes, we have a variety of platters catering for up to 8 – 10 adults available which will need to be booked prior to your party. Click on ‘Party Platters’ tab above. Otherwise parents can order off our menu.

Sorry, only food and drink purchased from The Playshack may be consumed within the centre.

We welcome entertainers such as face painters and/or characters for your childs birthday, please understand though that because we are also open to the public that the demand for their attention may be present by other patrons. Animals are not permited for health reasons as we are a cafe also, and we ask that you don’t play your own music as it distracts from the music already being played in the centre.

Once numbers have been confirmed on the Thursday before the party we are unable to refund for no-shows as the party is catered based on numbers confirmed, however we are happy to offer you a free return entry to substitue the non attending guest (up to a maximum of 2)

We recommend you arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to your party start time to greet your guests and so we can take your birthday cake and answer any questions you may have before your guests arrive.

Of course, we will store the cake in our fridge and bring it out to you with cake service implements such as lighter, server, plates & forks at your request. Don’t forget the candles!

Of course, we are happy to run a tab for you. We will tally up any drinks such as tea & coffee and any other items you approve and charge you at the end of your party along with the balance due in one transaction.

You are welcome to stay on and enjoy our centre, we will however require you to vacate the party area and move into the dining area to allow our staff to clean the bay and time to set up for the next party.

Your deposit is non refundable however, we are happy to reschedule your party provided we have at least 5 days notice to do so.

What Happens on the Day?

    • Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of our staff and directed to your designated party bay. Staff will take your cake and any party bags to be stored appropriately and securely.
    • Staff will welcome your guests as they arrive and direct them to your party
    • At 15 minutes past your party start time, staff will bring out jugs of water & cordial for your guests. These can be replenished as needed for the duration of your party, just let staff know if they are getting low.
    • At 30 minutes past your party start time, staff will bring out the fairy bread and cheezles/popcorn followed by the hot prepared food as well as any pre-booked platters
    • You are now left to enjoy your time and your guests. Staff will be available to assist you at your will but will give you the space to enjoy your time with your guests.
    • At 1.5hr mark, we recommend we serve the cake. We will wait for your advice on when you are ready and bring out the cake and required implements to serve the cake.
    • We ask that you wait until your guest is leaving before offering them a party bag as it may contain objects which may cause a health or safety risk in our centre.
    • At the 2hr mark, if you choose to stay on and enjoy our facilities we ask that you move into the dining area in order for our staff to clear and clean the area and prepare for the next party.
    • Once your party has finished, please make your way to the counter and pay the balance due including any tabs for coffee, etc.
    • Let staff know If you have any food leftover you would like to take home so we can bag it up for you. Don’t forget any leftover cake!

Party Terms & Conditions

When booking a party at The Playshack Indoor Play Centre, you agree to the Birthday Terms & Conditions set out below

      • A deposit of $50 is required to secure your booking or you risk losing the booking date and time to another party.
      • Deposits are non-refundable however we are happy to change the date or time of your party if needed with a minimum of 7 days notice to do so.
      • The balance of the party must be paid on the day of the party before vacating the premises. 
      • Once final numbers have been confirmed, the party food will be ordered in and prepared on the day for the party.
      • We are unable to offer refunds for children that do not show up however as a gesture of goodwill we will offer a complimentary return entry voucher (up to a maximum of 2) for every child that does not show. 
      • The Playshack reserves the right to cancel any booking due to non-payment of deposit up to 5 days before the booked date.
      • The Playshack reserves the right to offer the booking to another party if a deposit has not been paid and staff have made at least 3 attempts to contact you.
      • As the party host, you are responsible for unaccompanied children in your care and supervision is required at all times for all attending guests.
      • Due to our party schedules and time restraints, party guests are required to vacate the party bay once the 2hr party duration has ceased and move into the dining area if they wish to stay on and enjoy the facilities so that staff can service the area.
      • Any additional siblings accompanying party guests will be charged standard entrance fees.
      • Our standard terms and conditions apply for all patrons in our facility
