PLAYGROUND & CENTRE RULES & REGULATIONS

We are pleased to provide a wonderful facility and whilst we have attempted to make it as safe as possible, the very nature of children’s play activity means that accidents can occasionally happen.

In accordance with strict Health & Safety Regulations, The following must be adhered to in order to maintain a safe play environment for all patrons
It is the sole responsibility of the parent/carer to actively supervise their child/ren & correct inappropriate behaviour

  • Staff have the right to advise or remove a child from unsafe play including restricted access areas.
  • Outside food and drinks are NOT PERMITTED without prior approval from management
  • Socks must be worn by ALL patrons entering the playground
  • Food & Drinks are not permitted in the playground or toddler area
  • Jewellery such as necklaces are to be removed to prevent injury or loss
  • No climbing on the safety netting, nor along the fence which borders the playground
  • Children who are not fully toilet trained are required to wear protection to prevent soiling in the playground and/or on equipment.

Management reserves the right to refuse entry to ensure the health and safety of all patrons and staff. It is a condition of entry that all persons accept full responsibility and liability for any damage, injury or loss for inappropriate use of equipment. Management is not responsible for any loss or injury suffered by any persons. Smoking and drinking of alcohol is prohibited within the centre.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our busiest times are from open through til 12pm and pending parties. Afternoons are generally the quietest time to visit. If your child is sensitive to noise, give us a call and check in with staff before arriving and we can advise you on the current status.

For Health & Safety and insurance requirements we have to enforce age limits to our various play areas. We have a toddler area strictly for children aged 0-4yrs. The Main Playground is recommended for 4yrs – 12yrs however little ones can enter the main playground and supervision of all ages is required at all times to ensure that everyone has a great time. We encourage mums and dads to get in and enjoy the playground with the kids.

Yes, all patrons heading into the playground are required to wear socks for both safety and obvious hygiene measures. Socks can be purchased from the counter for just $2.50 a pair.

Only if you intend on entering the main playground. If you are just relaxing in the dining area or entering the toddler area then you are not required to wear socks.

No, adults are free to enjoy the airconditioned facilities at their leisure.

The Centre is cleaned consistently throughout the day for your enjoyment and The Playground is attended to on an as need basis throughout the day. A full wipe down of all equipment including sanitisation of the ball pit is done at the end of the day after trading. We use commercial grade cleaning and sanitising products which are used by hospitals and daycare centres and our cleaning products are safe to be used in a child focussed environment.

Yes there is. The Playshack is located directly off the undercover basement carpark which is FREE and is great if its raining or you have little ones and don’t want to walk too far. Disabled access friendly via the underground carpark.

Given the limited dining space available, any party gathering will need to be prebooked. Unless you have booked a party with us, the NO OUTSIDE FOOD POLICY applies.

Whilst we endevour to clean constantly throughout the day during our trading hours, the playground undergoes a deep clean once a week and we utilise this time to run maintenance checks on our equipment and make any necessary repairs to ensure that your visit is not only enjoyable and clean but also safe.

The Palmerston Bus Depot is just across the road. Approximately a 5 minute walk through the intersection near KFC & Target Shopping Centre.

You can stay as long as you like. There is no time restraint on your visit to The Playshack, we recommend to allow a visit of 1-2hrs, however some families are quite happy to stay all day.

Whilst The Playshack staff have their WWC card, the staff are busy working to ensure your visit is both enjoyable and relaxing. Staff work hard to keep the centre clean and serve you and your children, the staff are not qualified/certified child care educators however we are happy to assist you if you need help and are happy to take care of your babies should you need to use the bathroom or tend to an older sibling.

All children must be supervised by an adult. An adult is classed as a parent or guardian over the age of 18 and the child/ren remain their responsibility at all times. This is for the safety and security of all children in the event there is an emergency or if a child suffers a serious injury or illness that would require a parent/carers immediate attention.

Yes we do, we accept Visa, MC, Debit, AMEX and Basics Cards. Minimum $10 on EFT purchases and we are happy to run a tab for you.

With the Covid-19 situation currently at hand, The Playshack are taking names and numbers for Track & Trace purposes so that in the event that a communtiy outbreak occurs and one of our staff or guests returns a positive result we can contact you to be tested. WE DO NOT USE THIS INFORMATION TO SEND JUNK EMAILS AND WE DO NOT PASS ANY DETAILS TO 3RD PARTY ADVERTISING AGENCIES

We serve a great selection of light refreshments to suit varying tastes, diets, and budgets as well as great barista made hot beverages at an affordable price.

We have a strict NO OUTSIDE FOOD POLICY in our centre in place to protect the high number of children who attend with allergins. The centres Insurance cover does not cover the business in the event a child becomes seriously ill from food that has not been provided by the centre. Whilst you might feel that the food you bring into the centre is safe, with many families that visit us day to day it makes it difficult for staff to regulate the varying types of food being brought in which increases the risk of not only outside food potentially causing a serious illness, it discriminates us being able to allow one family the ok and not another.

Bottled water and packaged infant food which shows the ingredients on the packaging however is acceptable and approved for consumption.

Absolutely. We have a number of items on our menu that consider the needs of children (and adults) dietry requirements. The Playshack is a NUT FREE facility and we have gluten free, and dairy free options available. Just ask staff if youre not sure or if you have any queries regarding your dietry needs.

In order to ensure all our guests have an enjoyable visit, ALL parties must be prebooked. Parties are available on weekends or through the week pending availability. Check out our ‘Parties & Private Hire’ section.

We will note an estimated number of children at the time of booking and call you to finalise the numbers attending on the Thursday before the Party. The party will be catered and charged at a minimum based on the attending numbers confirmed on Thursday. You have up until 3hrs before the party commences should the numbers increase to notify us of the extra guests so they can be catered for.
